A single car wreck Saturday afternoon lands a young man in the hospital.
It happened around 3p.m. off Highway 98 and Tarpon Street in Port St. Joe.
According to deputies from the Gulf County Sheriff's Office two males in their early 20's were driving west bound on 98 when they lost control and struck a utility pole.
After hitting the power pole the Jeep slammed into a palm tree where it came to a final rest.
The initial impact from hitting the pole snapped it and left live wires on the ground.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
