It's been less than a month since those two children standing at their bus stop were struck by a car. On Saturday night their friends and relatives held a fundraiser to help them in their time of need.
6-year-old Julie Ann Lister and her 9-year old step brother Michael McFall were hit by a car Wednesday October 28th while crossing Front Beach Road in Laguna Beach.
Michael was seriously injured, Julie died on the scene.
Between medical bills, funeral costs and lost wages, the parents are struggling financially.
The Willing Vessels Gospel Group performed on Saturday night at Trinity Holiness Church in Southport. Dinner was served after wards.
The man who organized the event says the pain these families are enduring is almost unbearable so this is a small way he can help.
It's not too late to contribute to the Lister and McFall family. They have a benefit fund set up at People's First Bank under the name of Julie Ann Lister.
