Southport Planned Power Outage
Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative has scheduled a power outage from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 for Resota Beach Road and Kingswood Road.

Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative has scheduled a power outage from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 for Resota Beach Road and Kingswood Road.
It is necessary to turn the power to these areas off due to work being performed on the Edwards Road substation.
“In an effort to provide ongoing quality service, Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative needs to complete some work on the Edwards Road substation,” GCEC Assistant Manager Michael White said. “Unfortunately, this work requires a planned power outage. We appreciate our members’ patience and understanding as we work to provide reliable service.”

GCEC serves approximately 20,500 consumers in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Jackson, Walton and Washington counties and in the municipalities of Wewahitchka, Ebro, Lynn Haven, White City, Fountain and Southport.
