The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a spate of recent burglaries targeting big screen t-v's and other electronic devices.
Seven separate condominiums at Waterscape Condominiums on Okaloosa Island were burglarized between November 4th and 9th. The thieves stole televisions and DVD players worth a total of more than 74-hundred dollars.
A break-in also took place at Sundestin Condominiums on Highway 98 in Destin between November 6th and 11th. A two-thousand dollar big screen t-v was taken from a stand in a unit's living room.
A home at 4597 Sailmaker Lane in Destin was targeted sometime between October 24th and November 15th. A large, flat screen plasma t-v was stolen.
Meantime investigators are still trying to track down two suspects in connection with a burglary at 6404 Gulf Shore Drive in Destin November 15th. Two suspects fled the scene but a third, 30-year old Greg Devan Lee Junior of Mobile Alabama, was found hiding under a bed. The suspects were in the process of taking a t-v and DVD player from the home. Lee is charged with burglary and grand theft.
Investigators are working to determine if the cases are connected, but ask that anyone with any information on these crimes please contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS.
