Man Disappears Following a Boating Mishap

Walton County sheriff’s deputies say 21-year-old Michael Bozeman most likely fell from the fishing boat when he hit a stump in the river Saturday afternoon.

His body has not turned up since.

Bozeman’s eight-year-old cousin was with him at the time of the accident and fell of the boat as well, but unlike Bozeman, he had on a life jacket and was able to get back in the boat.

Investigators have combed the area just south of the Bruce community with divers, dogs and even sonar for three days now. The search will continue.
