It's been a tradition for more than 20 years. Charlie Coram and his family giving their time this Thanksgiving to help out some senior citizens in our area.
The family-owned restaurant passed out between 600 and 650 tickets for a free meal this year.
Coram's sliced a big turkey and ham, with all the trimmings, home-made dressing, gravy, green bean casserole, and of course some delicious pumpkin pie.
Workers were very happy to give back during the holidays. Their reward was seeing many people leave with a smile on their face and plenty of food in their bellies.
"We coordinate through the council on aging. We target senior citizens, but we'll feed anybody that needs a meal. It's really the only thanksgiving that my kids know. They grew up with it," Charlie Coram, Coram's owner said.
Corams served the hot meals from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

yes, i remember as a child growing up around the Coram Family.. Mr Willard and Ms Linda were some of the nicest people ever. i remember going over to their daughters house and their backyard being like an amusement park!
Not only do Linda and Charlie give this tasteful lunch on Thanksgiving but they give all year long that no one knows about. They not only treat their employees as family but anyone who enter their restaurants. I'm glad I'm part of that family.
