Marianna's National Guard Unit Reactivated

Marianna's 144th transportation company may be the next local National Guard called to duty.

Guard officials are not confirming any deployment or mobilization plans. But the unit's 200 soldiers have been ordered to report to the armory Monday to fill out soldier readiness materials like medical, legal, and financial documents.

The last time that happened, the 144th was deployed to Ft. Stewart, Georgia for five months. But they never went overseas.
