The DOT Schedules Maintenance Work in Bay and Jackson Counties

Florida Department of Transportation crews will be patching the asphalt on US 231 at the Bear Creek Bridge in Bayou George next week. The southbound outside lane will be closed at the bridge from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, in Jackson County DOT Bridge inspection crews will be inspecting the Marshall Bridge and the Cowarts Creek Bridge on State Road 2.

The inspection and resulting maintenance work will take place between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. One lane of traffic will be maintained during the process.

Motorists are advised to use caution and drive with care through the DOT work zones.
