Members of the National Guard's 144th Transportation Company are now officially mobilized.

More than 100 troops reported to the armory in Marianna Monday to fill out soldier readiness forms, which include medical and legal documents. For most this was a familiar feeling.

In March 2003, the 144th was called up and deployed to Ft. Stewart, Georgia. They stayed there four months training for an overseas deployment that never came.

"At this point, the 144th is going through the mobilization process where we are going to SRC the troops to go over medical, dental, finances, family affairs, get all their affairs in order for possible deployment," says 1st Sgt. Reese Lindsey.

There is still no word about a possible overseas destination assignment for these troops.
