Lighting the Torch

The Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club donated $2,000 to the Sheriff's Torch Run that benefits Special Olympians in Bay County.

The knights are a group of law enforcement officers in the area who dedicate time to raise money for several charities.

The president of the local chapter says it's great to raise money for a good cause.

"We try to give to organizations where children are involved and this is our primary concern: give money to needy kids."

The Bay County Sheriff's Office raises thousands of dollars throughout the year to benefit athletes in the Special Olympics.
