There wasn't any rain in Panama City Beach, but parts of Joan Avenue were completely under water Saturday afternoon after a water main break.
Newschannel 7 was on scene just minutes after the main burst.
It happened just shortly after 1:00 p.m. Parts of Joan Avenue and North Lagoon drive were flooded.
Water even started flowing into the Chevron station's lot. Crews were on scene within minutes trying to get the water under control.
We're told no one was injured, but it did give on-lookers something to talk about. The water blast left a massive crater near the intersection. Crews believe it was an old water main that burst.
According to county officials, the Joan Avenue and North Lagoon Drive intersection will be closed through Monday.
No word yet on what caused the water main break or if any residents have been affected.
As far as we know, there hasn't been any boil water notice issued. We'll keep you updated.
Back in October another main broke around the same area.
