Last month, the Health Department learned a person associated with Arnold High School in Panama City Beach was infected with tuberculosis. That person is no longer on campus.

Officials sent home questionnaires to determine who could have come into contact with this person. Based on those results, they recommend 73%, or 1,100 people, need to take the T.B. test.

That's a mix of students, staff and faculty. Health Department nurses will be on campus Friday to administer the skin tests; they will be back Monday to read the tests and distribute the H1N1 vaccine to those with permission slips.

Due to the bacteria's incubation period, Health Department officials will re-administer T.B. tests in January.

I find it interesting how these stories refer to this 'person'. It is a staff member or student? Illegal alien student, perhaps? There is more to this than just protecting their identity.
