Panama City twin sisters have died after both were struck by a car Wednesday afternoon near the Panama City Police Department on East 15th Street.
The women were identified as Cynthia Lynn Gilday and Cecelia Ann Gilday, both of Lynn Haven.
Panama City police say the women had been at Gulf Power and were crossing East 15th Street to get to a trolley stop when they walked into traffic.
They stepped into the path of a car driven by Earlie Adolph Howard. He was unable to stop in time before hitting both women.
The two sustained life threatening injuries. Celelia Gilday died a few minutes later at Bay Medical Center. Cynthia Gilday died early this morning at Gulf Coast Medical Center.
Panama City police are continuing their investigation. No charges have been filed at this point.
