The new smaller location will be in Pier Park in Panama City Beach. The old Miracle Strip carousel was purchased and put in Pier Park over the summer, and some of the last remaining rides at the old strip will soon join it.

The miracle strip amusement park closed its doors in 2004, but the new park is set to open in March 2010.

Organizers say the park will start out small and they hope to expand once everything is up and running.

This is excellent news! I hope they rebuild the Abominiable Snowman. That was always my favorite.

I am excited beyond words about MSAP coming back. I never got to go one last time for the season in 2004 to have some fun and take tons and tons of pictures due to the fact I was groggy on the day I was going to go and did not want to fall alseep behind the wheel even though I lived in fort walton beach at the time. Luckily I found a TON of photos tonight on the internet from when MSAP was still up and running. I didn't know until after it had happened that everthing at MSAP was completely removed from the property or demolished. I wanted to sneak in just one time and take some pictures before they demollshed thee haunted house, the abomnible snowman, and dante's inferno. I'm hoping they can get the starliner back from cypress gardens, the log ride back from wild adventures, and the o2 tower back from louisiana. Starting in 2001 or so, I used to visit both shipwreck and MSAP 3 times a piece each year. I'm so glad I will have that same oppurtunity again now.
