Two people are dead and one is in serious, but stable condition after an early morning crash in Panama City Beach. All of the victims were on vacation from Leesburg, Georgia.
One car, driven by Angela Ingram of Bay County, ended up after crossing the median in the 16000 block of Back Beach Road. Ingram also crossed three lanes of oncoming traffic before stopping in the brush along the side of the road.
According to the Panama City Beach Police, it happened a little after four Saturday morning.
An SUV was traveling west on Back Beach Road at a high rate of speed. The SUV rear-ended Ingram's car then rolled on the pavement and all three people were thrown out.
It is unknown who was driving the SUV, however all three men were in their twenties and had identification from Leesburg, Georgia.
Chris Jones died at the scene and William Etheridge died later at the hospital. Jason Eubanks is in critical condition at Bay Medical Center.
While the investigation is continuing, police think alcohol could be a factor and charges are pending.
This is the first fatal crash in Bay County during the holiday weekend.
