At Tyndall Air Force Base they are the ones who are responsible for Air Force funeral ceremonies.
The 133 members of the Honor Guard at Tyndall Air Force Base cover about a 100 mile radius.
Monday the Guard performed a mock funeral to show others the importance of this volunteer job. All members are active in the Air Force and volunteer their time for funerals, color guard and even parades.
According to members, it's a high honor to be part of this group because it's showing respect for those who have also protected our country.
Monday's open house also gave others a look inside the newly remodeled Honor Guard building.
