PANAMA CITY--- It's been one year since a group of friends in our community suddenly lost one of their own to colon cancer. The local woman's memory lived on Saturday morning thanks to her friends and family members.
The Inaugural Moving for Marline 10k, 5k, and 1 Mile Fun Run was held at the Marina Civic Center.
The proceeds are benefiting the May 7th Relay for Life which is being held at the Bay County Fairgrounds.
Marline's friends who organized the event say they hope a cure is found soon and no one else has to endure the suffering she did.
In total 154 runners/walkers participated early numbers are showing about $2,500 was raised.
