Pharmacist Gets Court Deal on Drug Charges

Updated: Sat 10:59 AM, Jun 12, 2004

Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested 55-year-old George Hill last May after a traffic stop on State Road 20 at Blountstown.

They say they found 800 Zanax and hydrocodone pills in Hill's car, but now Hill is getting a break.

Because he's a first time offender, prosecutors agreed to put Hill in a pre-trial intervention program, PTI.

He must complete drug rehab, submit to random drug testing and pay court costs. After a year with a clean record all charges are dismissed and his record will be expunged.

Jim White, Hill's attorney said it was a great decision and Hill will get to keep his job. He is still working as a pharmacist.
