Larry Dantzler, the Chairman of the Board, will have to step down at the end of this month because of term limits.
He has been a strong supporter of relocating the airport to the West Bay area.
Next Tuesday, the County 7 Commission will consider a group of men who have applied for appointment to fill Dantzler's post.
The ten applicants include Greg Brudnicki who is a former Bay Medical Center trustees, former Tyndall base commander Lou Churchill, and former Bay County Commissioner Ray Wagner.
The county commission is expected to choose Dantzler's replacement at next Tuesday's meeting.
