Investigators say alcohol may be to blame for an early morning car crash in Marianna Saturday.

The accident killed a teenager and injured four others. It happened around 2:00 yesterday morning on Berkshire Road near County Road 167.

Seventeen-year-old Mary Black died when the 2006 Scion SUV she was riding in crashed into a pine tree.

The teenaged driver and two other passengers were listed in serious condition at Jackson Hospital, but are recovering.

At least one of the teens has been released.

Another passenger, 16-year-old Michael Rodriguez, was in intensive care at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. His condition is stabilizing.

No one in the car was wearing a seat belt.
