The vice president is scheduled to speak at a James Madison Institute policy reform. Cheney is expected to speak about the War on Terror and other public policy issues.
The institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research and educational organization. After Cheney is finished in Orlando, he will head for Bay County to speak at a fundraiser at the Bay Point Marriott Monday evening.
Signs are already up warning drivers to expect a delay on the Hathaway Bridge between 4 and 8 p.m. Monday.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office says the bridge will only be closed when the vice president crosses the bridge. Cheney is arriving at the Bay County Airport and then going across the bridge to the fundraiser at Bay Point.
Secret Service will be assisted by local police throughout the visit.
