Commercial fishermen will gather throughout the month to discuss ways to standardize the laws.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation commission is holding a series of workshops to discuss a proposed rule to standardize net-measurement procedures.

The FWC says the rules that regulate net fishing in Florida's waters are scattered throughout the state Constitution. The workshops hope to standardize all the rules and reduce confusion.

The first meeting is at the Franklin County Courthouse annex in Apalachicola Monday from 6 to 8.
