Investigators say Glenda Lynn Stokes gave birth to a child at her home in early to mid-May.

Stokes claims the child was still-born, but instead of calling someone, Stokes put the infant into the trunk of her car and theft it there for almost three weeks.

Jackson County lawmen discovered the baby's body on May 28.

After a thorough autopsy, the area Medical Examiners office says it can't determine if the baby was born alive or dead.

Sheriff Johnny McDaniel says the investigation is now concluded and there won't be any charges file.

Stokes has been under psychiatric evaluation since the case began.
