Bust Nets Kilo of Cocaine

People living in the Millville area tipped off Bay County sheriff's deputies about illegal narcotics traffic in their community. Those tips led officers to a car and motel room at the west end of the beach rented by 29-year-old Donta Lemont Spurlin.

Lawmen used a search warrant and seized the kilo of cocaine, a six-gram cocaine cookie and narcotics paraphernalia.

Spurlin faces charges of trafficking in cocaine and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license. He’s in the Bay County Jail and faces additional charges.
