Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigators arrived at the Adagio condo project in Blue Mountain Beach Friday morning. They're inspecting a construction crane that buckled around 3:00 Thursday afternoon.

Construction officials say the crane operator was lifting equipment to the elevator shaft when the crane arm collapsed. It hit the shaft, injuring a worker, then hit the crane operator's cab.

Both were air-lifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

Mike Casey, corporate safety director, says, "Well of course we have emergency response plan which automatically went into effect and the main thing is to see that any injured worker gets taken care of and we secure the site at that point."

Work is scheduled to resume at the site on Monday.
