(AP) -- A Florida lineman collapsed and died while helping restore electricity to a rural community in north-central West Virginia.

Allegheny Power spokesman Allen Staggers says 50-year-old Scott Tunstall was part of a crew pulling wires near Wadestown in western Monongalia County when he felt ill and briefly rested Thursday afternoon. When he returned to work, he collapsed.

An autopsy will determine the cause of death, but Staggers said it appears to have been related to exertion. He said Friday that Tunstall did not come into contact with a live wire.

South Carolina-based Sumter Utilities confirmed Tunstall was one of its employees but declined further comment. The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department says Tunstall was from Pensacola, Fla.
