State Seeks Death Penalty in Biker Deaths

Updated: Thu 1:20 PM, Jun 24, 2004

Twenty-seven-year-old Timothy Pilgreen is facing two counts of murder in the deaths of Donald Dunham and Nola Zietler. The Michigan bikers were members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

Dunham, Zietler and four other outlaws got into a fight with Pilgreen at the County Pier at Panama City Beach on October 28.

When the bikers left the scene, Pilgreen jumped in his pickup truck and ran them over on Front Beach Road. The next day, Pilgreen admitted to the crime in a NewsChannel Seven interview from the jail, and said he wanted the state to give him the death penalty.

Now, the State Attorney's Office has filed official notice it will seek the death penalty. Pilgreen is scheduled for trial in August.
