Two Women Shot in Domestic Argument

Sixty-eight-year-old Dale Patterson was arrested by Walton sheriff’s deputies at a home on Squirrel Road.

When lawmen arrived at the home they found 23-year-old Carlisha Woods and her mother, 45-year-old Essie Patterson. Both had been shot. Ms. Woods was in the front yard. Mrs. Patterson was lying in a neighbor’s yard across the street.

Each woman had been shot twice with a .357 handgun.

Deputies say the suspect, Dale Patterson, still had the gun in his hand when they went inside to arrest him.

Both women are recovering at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Patterson is facing two counts of attempted murder.
