Nolan robbed and killed a man in a Parker motel room last year and he stole the victim’s car.
Indicating he wants to die, Nolan, against the advice of his attorney, pleaded no contest to first degree murder.
However, last week, Assistant State Attorney Joe Grammer frustrated him by refusing to seek the death penalty in his case. The victim’s mother also had asked the court to let him spend the rest of his life in prison to think about what he had done.
Nolan was sentenced to life in prison Monday morning.
Friday morning he was back in court trying to withdraw his plea. It took the judge less than 45 seconds to tell him no.
