FORT WALTON BEACH, FL---Three teens are in jail in connection with a murder of another young person.

17-year-old Timothy Preston Chavers, 16-year-old Tyree Rashand Washington and 16-year-old Kyle Markeith Walling are all being charged by the Fort Walton Beach Police investigators with attempted robbery and murder.

The early morning arrests are in connection with 17-year-old Christopher D. Pitcock's death.

Police say Pitcock died Thursday night after being shot while sitting in his Chevy Blazer. The SUV was parked in the front yard of a home off Lula Belle Lane.

Pitcock was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police investigators are not releasing additional information on how the three came to be suspects.

The family is taking donations for help with paying funeral costs and medical bills.

The Christopher Pitcock Memorial Fund is set up at Suntrust Bank.
