Updated: Thu 12:52 PM, Jul 08, 2004

Thirty-eight-year-old Mark Clavijo died in a Tampa hospital after suffering from neck and spinal cord injuries.

He and his eight-year-old daughter Miranda were riding the Jet Ski in the Homosassa River when they hit a pontoon boat.

They were taking part in a two family vacation at the time.

Miranda, a student at Northside Elementary School in Panama City, died instantly.

Her father was transported to a Tampa Hospital where he had been listed in extremely critical condition until his death Thursday. He was a counselor at Margaret K. Lewis School for Exceptional Students.

Friends are setting up an account to help cover the funeral expenses for Miranda and Mark Clavijo. If you would like to make a donation you may do so at Coastal Community Bank.

The account number is 2500563806.
