Passenger Injured During Short Vehicle Pursuit in Marianna
On Tuesday, at approximately 9:33 p.m., a Marianna Police officer attempted to stop a reckless driver, however, it turned into a short pursuit, leaving one passenger injured.

On Tuesday, at approximately 9:33 p.m., a Marianna Police officer attempted to stop a reckless driver, however, it turned into a short pursuit.

According to a press release, the officer attempted to pull over, Paul Xavier Pollock, of Sneads, as he was leaving a Mobile Station located on North Jefferson St.

Pollock, eluded the officer for several miles, where he later wrecked his vehicle into the M.O.C. HealthCare business sign, located on Sixth St. Pullock and one of his passengers, Quinton M. Adkins, of Chattahoochee, fled on foot and were both captured a short time later. A third passenger, Marcus R. Daniels of Sneads, was injured in the crash, and transported to Jackson E.R.

Daniels was not charged in the incident. Both Pollock and Adkins were placed in the Jackson County Correctional Facility. Pollock is charged with Fleeing and Eluding, Reckless Driving, and Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash. Adkins had active warrants for Sale of Cocaine out of Calhoun County.
