Bay County Sheriff's Deputies say 81-year-old Earl Stephen Owen was pulling out of a restaurant parking lot in the 300 block of South Tyndall Parkway.
He pulled into the path of another car and was struck broadside.
Owen was hospitalized in critical condition, but died 12 hours later.
No one else in the accident was injured and the Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation.
