Civil Rights Group Looks Into Tazer Death

Deputies had been called to the parking lot of the Books-A-Million store in Destin.

Demetrius Nelson was having an argument with his girlfriend.

Lawmen say while they were there they were helping Nelson find a radiator cap when he became violent.

They shocked him four times with a Tazer before arresting him.

Nelson died about 15 minutes later.

The civil rights group is reviewing details of the case including witness statements. They say at this point they do not feel deputies used excessive force.

Everyone is still waiting for autopsy results to find out how the man actually died.
