Jurors on Thursday deliberated for 20 minutes before acquitting an "angry" man of DUI.

According to two Panama City police officers, Brian Headley passed them in his Ford Ranger at a high rate of speed the night of Sept. 7, 2008, with a screaming woman in the bed of his truck.

Headley told the officers that he and his girlfriend were arguing when she climbed into the truck's bed and refused to get out.

Officers said Headley appeared to be intoxicated, but he refused to participate in a field sobriety test. Assistant Public Defender Laura McCarthy told jurors at Thursday's trial that Headley wasn't drunk, he was angry at his girlfriend, that's why he refused to take the field sobriety test and why he was driving so erratically.

She said there was no evidence that Headley's blood alcohol level was over the legal limit at the time of the stop.

Glad to hear this innocent man was cleared of any charges. Great to see he didn't get railroaded by the system, as seems alot of people have, will and continue to be.
