At issue is whether the Bay County Sheriff's Office can seize a $2 million jet used by the Girls Gone Wild crew.

The appeals court heard oral arguments on the civil case involving the Sheriff’s Office and Aero-Falcons LLC, the owners of the 12 seat jet.

Along with a Ferrari, the jet was seized by the Sheriff’s Office when Joe Francis and his Girls Gone Wild crew were busted in Panama City Beach during Spring Break 2003.

Francis and the crew still face a number of felony charges in Bay County Circuit Court for enticing underage girls to undress and take part in sex acts in front of the cameras.

A circuit judge ordered the jet returned to the owners. The Sheriff’s Office contends it was used in the illegal activity and appealed. This appeal was heard Wednesday.

There’s no indication when the court will rule.
