Not everyone can afford the back to school outfit every student wants to wear. That's why the Salvation Army is helping kids in Bay County get ready for school.
In front of the yellow school bus inside the Panama City mall are hangars with information about some local students. The hangars list the children's size and what they need to fit in for the first day back.
Special Sergeant Raisean Lasenberry is one of the volunteers encouraging others to help out a student this year.
"Everyone's not as fortunate as others and everyone's starting school and it's just important for them to have a good start to the school year,” he says.
To help out, pick up a hangar at the mall and bring back the outfit for the Salvation Army to distribute in the beginning of august.
The Clothes for Kids drive ends July 31.
