The Outfit To Have

The Clothes For Kids campaign kicked off a week ago at the Panama City Mall. Anyone can pick up a hanger with a child's clothing information and bring the outfit back to the Salvation Army to distribute to deserving families.

So far, they have collected less than 200 outfits and have more than 500 more names left to dress. Major John Tharp, with the Salvation Army, says a new outfit is a great way to start the new year.

"When they go back to school and see other children with new clothing on, it makes them feel good to have something new on themselves. I think it's good for their own self image," says Tharp.

The clothing drive lasts until Saturday. If you want to help, pick up a hanger at the Yellow School Bus inside the mall in the JC-Penney wing.
