Holmes County Meth Bust

Investigators from several different local, state and federal agencies raided a house in Holmes County Thursday morning, where the owner was suspected dealing methamphetamine.

The house was located on Highway-163 in the New Hope Community.

Authorities arrested the owner, 49 year old Herdis Neal Brown, on a number of drug charges.

Inside they say they found 1.7 pounds of finished meth product, with a street-value of about 30-thousand dollars. They also seized a large amount of cash and a number of guns.

Brown is charged with trafficking in meth, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of less than 20-grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He’s being held in the Holmes County Jail in Bonifay.
