Thomas Drive Flyover Relief on the Way

Construction crews have been working day and night to make your drive to and from the beach more tolerable.

Crews are adding another lane to the westbound traffic and once it is opened it should ease traffic turning onto Thomas Drive.

The main problem has been the left-hand turning lanes onto Thomas Drive. The short turning lane and long light creates major back-ups on the westbound bridge, but a new lane should relieve the problem.

In addition, they’ll be opening a third lane on the westbound side of the bridge. It's sure to provide even more relief.

Also traffic south bound on Thomas Drive will also be shifted to the newly completed west side lanes on Thomas Drive. This will allow for further construction on the flyover project.

If you’d like a look at what the entire project will look like when it’s finished in two years log on to: www.thomasdrive98.com and check it out.
