Future Direction of St. Andrews' CRA Left Uncertain

The future direction of the St. Andrews redevelopment area has been put on hold for now.

Panama City commissioners decided to have a six-month moratorium on the issue, after an hour’s worth of indecision at Tuesday’s commission meeting.

Commissioner John Pilcher wants the CRA to be handled by the city. At least two other commissioners say one representative oversight board for all of the city's CRAs would be best.

For now commissioners want the st. Andrews community to work together with the DIB/CRA agency and the St. Andrews waterfront partnership to find an alternative to the current oversight board.
