Sabiston made the cut and is one of 10 candidates being considered for the City Manager's post in Highland Beach, which is in the Palm Beach area.
Twenty-one people originally applied for the job.
The Highland Beach council is expected to make a decision on its new administrator on Aug. 17.
Twice this year, Sabiston had ethics complaints filed against him in Mexico Beach. Both were later thrown out by the state Ethics Commission.
