President Bush to Campaign in Panama City Next Tuesday

You can tell the campaign trail is really heating up here in Northwest Florida.

It’s been confirmed that President George W. Bush will be in Panama City next Tuesday as part of a bus campaign swing through the area.

Local Republican Party leader Bobby Roberts confirmed the President will tour the Panhandle stating in Pensacola and ending here in Panama City.

The plan is for President Bush to address a large crowd of local and area residents sometime tentatively between 4:00 and 7:00 that evening.

The exact time and location are not formalized yet. But advance tickets, free to the public, will be available starting at noon Friday at the Bay County Republican Headquarters on Lisenby Ave. The President tentatively will be speaking at the downtown city marina at 4:00 PM next Tuesday.

Roberts says more information on the President’s trip should be available Friday. Bush will begin his day next Tuesday with an 8:00 AM rally at the Pensacola Civic center. He then travels to Okaloosa-Walton College at Niceville where's he'll speak to a large gathering at 11:00 AM. The bus caravan will then head to Panama City for the 4 PM appearance downtown.
