Gulf Pines Hospital paid the bill Wednesday to the city of Port St. Joe and Gulf County. Last week hospital owner Hubert Steeley was ordered by a federal judge to pay up.
Steeley told Newschannel Seven an asset based lender paid more than $900,000 owed to the city and county for the hospital's mortgage and back taxes.
Steeley says the next hurdle will be opening the emergency room within the next couple of months. The ER has been closed since March of this year.
