Bay County Grand Jury Issues Murder Indictment

Police say they believe Offord beat Noser with his first and a hammer, then stabbed her with a knife on July 31 at his home on Drake Ave.

The suspect later went to a nearby bar where he commented to several people about the murder. They contacted police who went to the home, found the woman dead and then came back to the bar an arrested Offord.

Friends of the family say the two had known each other eight days when they were married early this year. The stayed married only two months before divorcing.

The victim earlier had filed for a domestic violence restraining order. But she withdrew the requests two days later before it could be granted.

Meanwhile, Offord remains in the Bay County Jail in Panama City on first-degree murder charges.
