Police say James Wiggins was a passenger in an SUV involved in the early morning crash at Middle Beach Road and Clara Ave.
The driver of the SUV ran a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into another car.
Wiggins was listed in critical condition for six days following the crash until his death Friday.
Panama City Beach Police are continuing their investigation. Charges are pending.
