A dash for freedom could end up costing a local robbery suspect a couple of extra years in prison.
Bay County Sheriff's Deputies say Matt Coffin escaped Tuesday morning as they were taking him from the county jail to the Bay County Courthouse across the street.
They say Coffin slipped out of his shackle, although they're not sure how he did it.
The episode for brief freedom didn't last long. Bailiffs recaptured Coffin within minutes. Now, he could face up to five years on the escape charges.
