Eighteen Panama City Beach police officers are back in town Monday after spending a week in southwest Florida. The officers spent time cleaning up and helping people put their lives back together after Hurricane Charley swept through their homes.

The group assisted the Osceola Police Department south of Orlando which was in the path of the storm. The department sent the officers down with a convoy including police boats, electronic signs, four-wheelers and even teddy bears.

Monday officers spoke about the stories they'll remember and the people they helped. Most were just glad to be back with their families, even though they all say they'd go back again if their help was needed.
