James Sheffield was swimming with friends and was exploring a natural spring in a deep section of the lake.
That's where Sheffield apparently got into trouble.
His friends and a lifeguard both tried to save him, but could not. Divers pulled Sheffield's body from the water a short time later.
The case is still under investigation.
