A 24-year-old Fort Walton Beach man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for gunning down a man in a car in front of a crowd of people.
Andre Florence was convicted of second-degree murder for the August 2003 fatal shooting of 22-year-old Demetris Rudolph.
Circuit Judge Thomas Remington announced the sentence in a Shalimar courtroom. Supporters of both Florence and Rudolph broke into sobs as the sentence was announced in Okaloosa County Circuit Court.
